Case Background
With the spread of COVID-19, the circulation and sales of masks have further expanded, and we have learned that some domestic companies without KF94 product certification privately manufacture and sell KF94 masks.
Countermeasure
We received a request from the Korean Consulate in Beijing to conduct an online/offlin investigation, enforcement, and linkage to reporting measures for online sellers and offline manufacturers who are unauthorized to sell masks marked with KF94.
Achievement
Administrative actions were taken against two establishments for unauthorized production of KF94 masks as well as the removal of 14,000 links to the sale of KF94 masks on mainstream online platform.

Counterfeit Cosmetics
Case In Guangxi Province
Case Background
Investigations have confirmed that a factory in Guangxi Province produces and sells large quantities of imitations of various brands of make-up in large quantities, as well as having a large stock in its warehouses.
Countermeasure
We have criminally enforced two large-scale factories and six warehouses through the assistance of the local public security authorities.
Achievement
Four suspects were arrested and more than one million counterfeit cosmetics were confiscated.

Case Background
The criminal enforcement was carried out after an investigation found that a warehouse in Hunan Province was storing a large number of counterfeit shampoo of the cosmetics brand A.
Countermeasure
We conducted a criminal enforcement in cooperation with the local public security authorities, confiscating more than 30,000 counterfeit goods and arresting one suspect at the scene. In addition, we filed a civil lawsuit against the suspect for trademark infringement.
Achievement
The suspect arrested during the criminal enforcement was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment (four years’ probation) and a fine of 200,000 RMB, in addition to an additional 800,000 RMB in damages to be paid to the plaintiff (the brand) pursuant to the judgment in the civil action.

Case Background
We learned that counterfeit books of brand E were being sold on Pinduoduo, and after further investigation, we confirmed the location of the large warehouse.
Countermeasure
We confirmed that the large warehouse was located in Guangdong Province and contained a large number of pirated books, which were confiscated after a criminal enforcement of the warehouse.
Achievement
The person in charge was criminally punished and a civil action for damages was filed.

Case Background
We learned that a large number of counterfeit Korean medical beauty products (mainly skin scrapers and Botox) were stored in two warehouses located in Shenzhen.
Countermeasure
We learned that both warehouses were storing large quantities of counterfeit medical products of various Korean brands, presumably mainly sold through WeChat, and followed up with administrative enforcement of both warehouses.
Achievement
More than 3,000 counterfeit products were confiscated at the scene and handed over to the public security authorities, with the size of the infringement estimated to reach 550 million KRW (approximately 3,036,000 RMB), and the person in charge was subsequently criminally punished.

Case Background
We learned that a warehouse in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, was storing a large number of clothes imitating popular Korean brands, so we conducted a criminal investigation of the place.
Countermeasure
We have conducted offline criminal enforcements as well as filed civil lawsuits against the relevant manufacturers and sellers for related infringements.
Achievement
A total of 6,155 counterfeit clothes were confiscated, and the amount of infringement amounted to 220 million KRW (about 1,203,400 yuan), and civil lawsuits are currently underway.
